Comes in kit form and requires painting.
Grover Croft Mine is representative of several mining operations in the UK. The structures modelled in the kit were inspired by those located at Bullhouse, Groverake, Hope Level and Osmond Croft mines in Northern England. The head gear allows rock to be pulled up from the shaft using the winding engine. Ore is then pushed by men or horses through the tippler house and then pulled up the gantry and dumped into 5 plank wagons. The waste is routed over the narrow gauge track and dumped on the spoil tip. The model can be built in two different configurations, as shown it has an overall footprint of 300mm x 260mm. Model includes two mine cars, 4 miners, a horse and imitation narrow gauge track. |
