Prototype background:

In 1932 Collett built a further batch of engines with minor changes - he fitted them with side window cabs, outside steam pipes and screw reverse. These locos were numbered in the 93xx series and looked quite different from Churchwards earlier design as they had the drop in the footplate a full 12 inches further forward in line with the front of the smokebox. All the engines passed into British Railways ownership and in the 1950's they converted the locos back to the lightweight buffer beam format and renumbered them in the 73xx series above the last 'original' 7321. The kit contains the same variation alternatives as mentioned for A11.
