Parts to build one structure as shown, requires assembly painting. Although the model was designed as part of our water purification plant it can easily be used on a standalone basis as part of any industrial scene for added visual interest.

Industrial water treatment facilities cover a multitude of activities as part of the purification process before water can be returned to rivers and municipal drainage systems after use in manufacturing processes. Sometimes used water is recycled for local re-use but further processes must take place to eliminate possible health risks. One important part of the process is the sump-tank holding the recycled-water prior to re-use or release into the rivers & main drain system. The large interconnecting pipework often appears to run down into the ground and would normally exist next to a main pumping site where large pumps stand above ground feeding an underground pipework system or reservoir. Sometimes they exist near small brick built pump-houses where water needs to be lifted to allow it to travel onwards through the drainage system, the gravity then doing the main work in moving the water.

We have included a concrete plinth with a block-work sidewalk, a large double access cover to an underground sump and pipework with large valves and diverters these running into the underground network of unseen pipework/drains. It is suitable for N-Gauge 1:148 to 1:160 scale size modelling. If required, further interlinking pipework can be achieved using our Industrial Pipework & Fittings kits available separately. A brick Pump-House is also available or alternatively the Large Pumps and Pipework kit could be integrated, these also being available separately
