During the 1920's the Chevrolet range of commercial vehicles had been imported into the UK and assembled locally. In 1931 the 'Independence Series' arrived and was produced under the Bedford badge. The design was successful as it was fast and reliable and became popular with all branches of the road haulage industry. The marketing slogan was "You see them everywhere". They remained in production until 1939 and in use for many years after.
This model is also available painted (lorry only) ref X28.
