M34 (3) U V filtration unit - N GAUGE -
Picture includes illustration of model when completed, requires assembly and painting.
Model can easily be used on its own in a variety of modelling scenarios to add visual interest.
Industrial water treatment facilities cover a multitude of activities as part of the purification process before water can be returned to rivers and municipal drainage systems after use in manufacturing processes. Sometimes used water is recycled for local re-use but further processes must take place to eliminate possible health risks. One particular filtration process is the use of electromagnetic radiation such as ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection. Dependent on waste-water volumes being processed the equipment used varies in size, with water being pumped through a UV light source chamber(s) thus rendering the water fit for use. Although this equipment is connected to other processes via pipework, when placed externally this interconnecting pipework is often run out of sight with supply and return pipes turning down into the bunkers or semi-covered trenches below ground level.
We have selected an UV unit size that would be seen outside either singularly, doubled or multi-banked, suitable for N-Gauge 1:148 to 1:160 scale size modelling. If required interlinking pipework can be achieved using our industrial Pipework & Fittings kits. The actual Tubular-structure and chambers would be stainless-steel silver, the control-cabinet housing grey and valve hand-wheels black, however these colours are not exact being a matter of choice. The base can be a hint of green-beige to represent concrete block finish
